Fact: Kiwanis International started as a business networking organization back in 1916. Only later did Kiwanis’ focus change to community service. 

From within the club and from club to club (division), an active member will find good people and valuable contacts. Many Kiwanians are business owners and business professionals who happily look to other Kiwanis members to mutually provide goods and services.

Business not your hot button? The social aspect of Kiwanis is also outstanding. In addition to weekly breakfast meetings where friends meet to enjoy conversation and share personal triumphs, our club also offers some great outside social activities. In the recent past our club has held: parties, BBQ's, gone wine tasting, attended plays, concerts, and dances. Our club is a family oriented club. With few exceptions, friends, spouses, and children are welcome at events.

Membership: This is not a secret society or a closed club. We are always on the lookout for new members. However, being human, we don't always think to ask or invite. If you are interested in membership information please don't hesitate to ask. We hope that our members have good attendance at the Thursday morning meetings. We expect our members to participate in some of our service activities and fundraiser events. There is a one-time new member fee that goes to Kiwanis International. We also have annual club dues of $130 that can be paid quarterly. Other than that, the cost to participate is the cost of your meal at the meetings. Some people eat a full blown breakfast. Some of use just have coffee. It's really up to you. There is a membership application that we can give you at any meeting. We have a short orientation meeting to make sure you have all the details. If you're satisfied, turn in your application and fee. To make it official the board must vote to accept your membership..... that's all there is to it.
